How to fix error "STOP: 0x0000007E"

How to fix error "STOP: 0x0000007E" after upgrading a computer that uses a processor other than an Intel processor to Windows XP Service Pack 2 or to Windows XP Service Pack 3?

The STOP 0x0000007E error generally occurs when a System Preparation (Sysprep) image is created on a computer that uses an Intel processor and is then deployed to a computer that does not use an Intel processor.

To work around this issue, follow these steps:

STEP 1:To begin troubleshooting process, Restart your computer and press F8 key at the booting to login in safe mode

STEP 2:Click Start and then select Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
STEP 3:Find and then click the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\Intelppm
STEP 4:In the right side of the window, right-click the Start entry, and then click Modify.

STEP 5:Enter the value 4 in the Value box and then click OK

STEP 6:Exit Registry Editor.

After completing the above steps restart your computer to make the changes effective.

That's all you need to do in order to fix error 0x0000007E
