How to Fix “Find On This Page”


How to Fix “Find On This Page” option in the Edit menu or use the CTRL + F Shortcut in Internet Explorer 8?

When a user finds that his find” bar option in the internet explorer 8 does not display, when he clicks the option of “Find on this page” which is present in the edit menu, he cant search for anything on a web page. He also does not receive the option when he tries to use the CTRL+ F option. So the user gets perplexed when the Find toggle does not work on the browser. Sometimes, the space of find bar expands, but still he/she is unable to use the option because the find tab because it does not appear.


If in case, component “find” is unregistered in your PC, the error “Find On This Page” occur.

You can run the following steps to fix the problem.

Step 1: Click “Start” and choose “Run”

Step 2: Now, type “regsvr32 oleacc.dll” command and then click on “OK”
Step3: You will now receive a message as “DllRegisterServer in oleacc.dll succeeded”.
Step 4: Finally, you can start with fresh Internet Explorer window and verify the “Find bar”, whether it is representing correctly or not.
